No data collection
Image Prep Kit does not collect personal data. We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or any purpose other than Google AdSense. There are no tracking pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
Privacy
Image Prep Kit is built around browser-only processing. This privacy policy explains what data is handled and what is not.
Policy
A clear summary of how data and files are treated on this site.
Image Prep Kit does not collect personal data. We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or any purpose other than Google AdSense. There are no tracking pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
All image processing happens locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded to a server, stored in cloud storage, or sent to a backend processing queue.
There is no registration, no email collection, no password storage, and no user profiles.
Google AdSense may use cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This is managed entirely by Google. You can control ad personalization through your Google account settings.
This site does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for tracking. The only third-party cookies present are those set by Google AdSense for advertising purposes.
If you have privacy questions, you can reach the site operator through the contact form or email provided on the site.
Collection
A complete list of the information we intentionally do not gather.
We do not ask for, store, or process your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or any other identifier. Because there is no registration system, there is no database of users, no profile creation flow, and no contact form that submits data to our server. The only email interaction happens when you voluntarily write to our support address from your own mail client, and we do not add those addresses to a mailing list or marketing database. We do not run newsletter sign-ups, account recovery systems, or two-factor authentication, all of which would require storing personal data.
When you load an image into a tool, the file is decoded by your browser using the File API and Canvas API. The raw bytes, pixel data, EXIF tags, and any embedded metadata remain on your device throughout the entire session. We do not transmit the file to our server, we do not scan it for content classification, and we do not extract metadata for analytics or storage. Even if an image contains GPS coordinates, camera model information, or timestamps, that data is never exposed to us. The only access to your image is through the JavaScript running in your own browser tab.
We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Plausible, or any other analytics service. We do not deploy heatmap scripts, session recording tools, mouse-tracking software, or A/B testing platforms. There are no tracking pixels in emails because we do not send marketing emails. We do not log IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or referrer URLs on our server. The only external script on the site is Google AdSense, which operates independently for ad delivery. We do not see aggregate visitor counts, click paths, or demographic data.
Processing
The technical flow that keeps your files on your device.
When you click the file input on any tool page, the browser creates a File object from your local storage. Our JavaScript reads that object using the FileReader API, decodes the image into a bitmap using the browser's built-in image decoder, and performs the requested operation—resize, crop, compress, rotate, or convert—using the Canvas API. The result is then exported as a new file and offered to you through the browser's native download mechanism. At no point does the file leave your machine. Your network connection is only used to load the page itself, not to transfer image data.
Because the image is held in memory and temporary JavaScript objects, closing the tab or navigating away destroys the data immediately. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to persist image data. There is no auto-save, no cloud backup, and no recovery mechanism. If you close the tab before downloading, the processed image is gone and you will need to repeat the operation. This ephemeral design is intentional: it guarantees that no trace of your image remains in the browser after you finish the task.
Control
Options you have for controlling privacy and advertising on this site.
Google AdSense may place cookies on your browser to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements. These cookies are managed by Google, not by us, and they are used to determine which ads are displayed. If you prefer not to see personalized ads, you can opt out through Google's Ad Settings page at adssettings.google.com. There you can turn off ad personalization for your Google account, or install a browser plugin that disables personalization for non-Google sites. You can also clear or block third-party cookies in your browser settings, which will prevent AdSense from reading any existing preference data.
You have additional controls beyond ad settings. Using your browser's private or incognito mode will prevent the persistence of AdSense cookies between sessions. Disabling third-party cookies entirely in your browser preferences will stop most ad-network cookies from being set. You can also use a content blocker or ad blocker, which will remove the ad script entirely. None of these actions will break the functionality of our tools, because the tools do not depend on cookies, ads, or external services to process images. The site is fully functional even if every third-party script is blocked.
Policy
How we handle updates and how you will know about them.
This privacy policy may be updated as the site evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make a significant change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. We do not send email notifications for policy changes because we do not maintain a mailing list. If you are concerned about privacy, we recommend checking this page periodically. Minor changes, such as clarifying wording or correcting dates, may be made without a separate announcement. The current version always reflects the actual practices of the site, and we will never retroactively apply a policy that is less protective than the one in effect when you visited.
